Berkley

Posted on July 27, 2010

Berkley recently celebrated her first birthday!  It’s hard to believe a year has gone by since this little princess graced us with her presence.  What a special little girl (and I think she’s gonna be really REALLY spoiled by her Papa!).  It was a tad bit hot and steamy Saturday morning but we made the most of it and I had so much fun playing with Berkley.  She’s definitely a little farm girl in the making.  I bet Papa will have her driving the tractor before she rides a bicycle!  lol  Thanks for the smiles Tyann.

Berkley absolutely LOVES cake!!!  We barely got her sat down and she dove right in!  But, she was also not very happy with us when we took it away either! ;)

I couldn’t resist not using the trees from Papa’s business!  Look at those precious little cheeks!  Just makes you wanna squeeze her doesn’t it?!  :)

And, I’m sure this will be Papa’s favorite picks.  ;)  He’s fond of his tractors and fond of his little girl.  Hope you like them Papa!

Houghton Boys

Posted on July 27, 2010

I can’t believe how much these boys have grown.  Tyler and Chanse went through grade school together, but it doesn’t seem that long ago!  Now they are starting high school….where does the time go?

Creed impressed me with his shooting skills.  He’s a G.I. Joe in the making!  He loves to target shoot and I wouldn’t be surprised if you see him in The Outdoor Channel one of these days! ;)  The storm the night before the boys’ session gave us a terrific prop opportunity!  :)

Momma is proud of her boys…. and rightly so.  Thanks for the fun Katie!

Morgan

Posted on July 19, 2010

Friday was a day full of sweet, soft babies!  After visiting with Ryan I got to meet this little princess…..  Morgan.  What a doll!!!

Did you ever see anything more precious than baby cleavage?!  ;)  lol too cute!  Daddy is going to have his hands full when Morgan gets older.  What a beautiful little girl.  Her full head of fluffy hair reminded me of Taylor’s when she was born.  Like a little peacock.  :)

She definitely has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.   Thanks again for sharing Morgan with me, next time we’ll have to include the puppies!  :)

And, I’ve already told you how much more relaxed a Lifestyle session is in your home…. just ask Dad too!  He got to carry on his work while I was there and took in a bit of the History channel too.  ;)  Much better than spending an hour or more sitting in a chair waiting for mom and baby to be finished while he has his five minutes of fame.  Lifestyle sessions rock!

Riley & Ryan

Posted on July 19, 2010

You know, there are some clients (most actually!) that you always look forward to seeing time and time again.  Riley (and his parents too I suppose) is one of those clients!  This kid can make me smile and laugh like crazy.  Such a character!

But it was great to meet little brother Ryan too.  Who would have thought that your baby’s dresser could be so cute in a photo?!  That’s what Lifestyle Portraits are all about.  Ask any mom who has had her Lifestyle session and she’ll tell you it was so much easier and more relaxed than any photo session they’ve ever had.   It pays to stay at home! ;)

And yes, we have plenty of his cute little mug without that paci too! ;)  lol  Sometimes you just gotta work with it!  LOL  After doing some of Ryan’s photos we went outside to play!  A few quick family photos…..

And then it was time for the fun stuff!!!  In less than 10 minutes (yes, TEN) Riley had me watching him swing on a rope, racing around playing tag, riding the gator, climbing stumps, and pulling his wagon searching for alligators.  :)  The kid can move!  lol… but it was a terrific ten minutes.  I don’t think I have one bad picture of this little cutie.  He stole my heart when he was born and he’ll always be one of my favorites.  Thanks mom and dad for sharing your boys with me.  I had a great time!

Check out ‘GQ Riley’… what a poser!  ;)

Edie & River

Posted on July 16, 2010

It’s been a great week for babies!  Angie brought her cuties to me today and we had a wonderful time playing outside!  Edie has grown so much and River is ALWAYS a joy.  :)

It’s kiddos like these that make my job a breeze!  Thanks again Angie for sharing your most prized possessions with me.

And yes….. I just can’t stay away from the creek with these adorable babies!  It’s too precious!

Jayden

Posted on July 14, 2010

Little Miss Jayden had her one year birthday photo session yesterday at grandma’s house!  We had so much fun playing outside, getting wet, and sticky with cake.  :)  She did such an awesome job and was so happy throughout her session.  That is until we came to the end of the cake….

Someone should really cover the rules of cake etiquette for little people.  ;)  Eating, playing in, covering yourself in frosting…all perfectly acceptable.  Sitting in your cake, well, I’m really not sure!  lol

Look at those big BLUE eyes!!!  Grandma is going to have her hands full!

I have the best time photographing little kids in their ‘comfort zone’.  What better way to get great portraits than letting them be who they are where they are most comfortable.  Thanks again Lisa for having me over to take Jayden’s pictures.  I had a terrific time!

Colorado

Posted on July 14, 2010

We took a wonderful family vacation to Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  And I must say….. I fell in love.  In love with the Rockie’s, in love with the people, in love with Colorado.  Now, I just have to wait for my hubby to retire and I’m on my way.  To me, there’s no more beautiful place ever.  And I gotta tell ya, living with no humidity for over a week was enough to spoil a girl! :)

Charlie

Posted on June 20, 2010

This little cutie stole my heart from the time he got out of his truck!  One of the best parts about my job is watching families evolve.  I had the pleasure of photographing Charlie’s aunt a few years ago as a high school senior.  :)  Charlie had his 6 month portraits taken this morning and even though it got a little warm for us big people, Charlie enjoyed his morning playing with his tractor and ‘bathing’ in the creek.  I couldn’t wait for Charlie’s session as I had this surprise in mind for his momma for a couple of weeks.  But I didn’t anticipate Charlie becoming so engrossed in watching the water trickle over the stones in the creek…..  we could hardly keep his attention!  LOL

What a wonderful way to start the day!  I hope you all enjoyed your morning as much as I did!  Have a happy Father’s Day Charlie!  I’m sure grandpa won’t be too upset that you snuck away with his cowboy hat after he sees how cute you are!

Pipes Family

Posted on June 20, 2010

I hadn’t seen Brandi in quite some time, and it was a pleasant surprise to meet the newest member of their family….Bronson.  :)

He was a little tired in the beginning of our session but we managed to get a few good family photos….

And when he fell asleep, it was time to play!  The boys got to break out their toys, and we drove tractor trikes, took wagon rides and even did a little fishin’….  :)  I had a blast with these boys!  Thanks Brandi for letting me photograph your family.  I hope you weren’t too miserable in the heat, it wasn’t quite what we expected!  Plus, it was a beautiful way to spend my Friday.

I hope you enjoy your previews!  I’ll talk to you soon.

Katie & Jon

Posted on June 13, 2010

I just couldn’t go to bed without posting a couple of quick previews.  There will be more to come in the next day or two… definitely.  But I had to share my favorites from the day.  Katie & Jon had a beautiful day and there were a couple of things about their ceremony that were unique and I hadn’t seen before…  it definitely made for an awesome day!  But you’ll have to come back and check out more previews later to see what I’m talking about!  Until then, enjoy these few pics and I wish Jon & Katie many MANY blessed years together!  Enjoy Mexico guys!  See you soon!

The horse drawn carriage was a surprise to his bride.  Jon adores Katie…. what a beautiful surprise!  Wouldn’t we all like to have a handsome prince whisk us away in a beautiful carriage?!  ♥
