Morgan

Posted on July 19, 2010

Friday was a day full of sweet, soft babies!  After visiting with Ryan I got to meet this little princess…..  Morgan.  What a doll!!!

Did you ever see anything more precious than baby cleavage?!  ;)  lol too cute!  Daddy is going to have his hands full when Morgan gets older.  What a beautiful little girl.  Her full head of fluffy hair reminded me of Taylor’s when she was born.  Like a little peacock.  :)

She definitely has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.   Thanks again for sharing Morgan with me, next time we’ll have to include the puppies!  :)

And, I’ve already told you how much more relaxed a Lifestyle session is in your home…. just ask Dad too!  He got to carry on his work while I was there and took in a bit of the History channel too.  ;)  Much better than spending an hour or more sitting in a chair waiting for mom and baby to be finished while he has his five minutes of fame.  Lifestyle sessions rock!

Riley & Ryan

Posted on July 19, 2010

You know, there are some clients (most actually!) that you always look forward to seeing time and time again.  Riley (and his parents too I suppose) is one of those clients!  This kid can make me smile and laugh like crazy.  Such a character!

But it was great to meet little brother Ryan too.  Who would have thought that your baby’s dresser could be so cute in a photo?!  That’s what Lifestyle Portraits are all about.  Ask any mom who has had her Lifestyle session and she’ll tell you it was so much easier and more relaxed than any photo session they’ve ever had.   It pays to stay at home! ;)

And yes, we have plenty of his cute little mug without that paci too! ;)  lol  Sometimes you just gotta work with it!  LOL  After doing some of Ryan’s photos we went outside to play!  A few quick family photos…..

And then it was time for the fun stuff!!!  In less than 10 minutes (yes, TEN) Riley had me watching him swing on a rope, racing around playing tag, riding the gator, climbing stumps, and pulling his wagon searching for alligators.  :)  The kid can move!  lol… but it was a terrific ten minutes.  I don’t think I have one bad picture of this little cutie.  He stole my heart when he was born and he’ll always be one of my favorites.  Thanks mom and dad for sharing your boys with me.  I had a great time!

Check out ‘GQ Riley’… what a poser!  ;)

Pipes Family

I hadn’t seen Brandi in quite some time, and it was a pleasant surprise to meet the newest member of their family….Bronson.  :)

He was a little tired in the beginning of our session but we managed to get a few good family photos….

And when he fell asleep, it was time to play!  The boys got to break out their toys, and we drove tractor trikes, took wagon rides and even did a little fishin’….  :)  I had a blast with these boys!  Thanks Brandi for letting me photograph your family.  I hope you weren’t too miserable in the heat, it wasn’t quite what we expected!  Plus, it was a beautiful way to spend my Friday.

I hope you enjoy your previews!  I’ll talk to you soon.

New Baby on the Way!

Posted on May 20, 2010

Matt and Carissa are about to have baby number three!  One more girl to add to the house.  More giggles and curls, more dresses and nail polish.  :)  I know they are both excited about the new baby and if we’re lucky, she may come to visit very soon!  Last time we did maternity portraits with Traeh it was only 4 short days later that momma went into labor!

We had so many exciting ideas to do outside and have been fighting the weather for a week or two, so it was nice to finally beat the rain yesterday and we were able to do some of the exciting things I had envisioned.  (Okay, I hope it was as exciting for Carissa as it was for me….  and, well, Matt entertained us both just by participating. lol)  Thanks Matt! ;)

I enjoyed talking to the girls about their new responsibilities of being the big sister.  It was funny to hear what they are and AREN’T going to help do.  ;) lol  I can only imagine all the fun that is in store for their family with three little girls around the house.  And think of the bond the girls will have growing up.  Being best friends.  God is good!  ALL the time!  He is truly blessing this family and I’m just glad I was able to be a small part of their joy yesterday.  Thanks again Carissa!  Love you all.

And I gotta tell you when I was looking through your proofs to pick a preview Tanner noticed me working and said, “Whoa!  She’s got a baby in there doesn’t she?  When’s it coming out cuz she looks full!”  LOL  :)  We’re looking forward to meeting little Miss ‘M’ ♥

Hannah

Posted on May 8, 2010

Hannah returned to the studio for her 4 year photos with her baby sister and mommy…..and her bicycle!  :)  What could be more fun to a little girl than riding her bike on the bicycle path just for fun!  Sometimes I don’t even think Hannah realized we took her there for pictures.  She was just having fun being herself and I think I enjoyed this session with her more than any of the others (and she’s been coming to visit for a couple of years now!)

Trying to get her to steal a hug from mommy was an inconvenience though….  you realize when you’re having fun, hugs and kisses aren’t necessary!  ;) lol

Lifestyle Portraits are the perfect gift for someone too!  Purchase a gift certificate to give to a friend or loved one and you’ll be glad you did.  Besides….who wants to look back at their portraits and see the day they all got grumbly, and their children were pouty because they had to get dressed up, sit in a stuffy room where they were lectured not to move or touch anything, sit still and smile!  (that would be mom talking…. not THIS photographer! ;)  lol)  Or would you rather look back at your portraits and remember your little girl tickled pink to play in her bedroom that you designed and painted just for them…. or the times she surprised you by speeding off on her bicycle because it was soooo easy for her to learn you couldn’t believe it, or remembering the sound of her voice, the way she squeeled with delight when you pushed her on the porch swing.    Now those are memories to cherish.  ♥

Hannah brought her baby sister Leah too…. who was a bit shy and didn’t want to look at me either.  Until we went outside to play and be little girls!  Now that’s what is fun!

Daddy’s Little Girl Turns 1

Posted on May 4, 2010

Addison came to the studio to celebrate her first birthday with portraits.  She was just adorable!  And when Daddy showed up to help out and encourage smiles….  well, let’s just say I think MOST ALL little girls are Daddy’s girls.  There’s just something special about a princess and her daddy.  :)  Thanks for sharing Addison with us Sarah!  I enjoyed her session.

Ava turns 1

Posted on April 8, 2010

Ava has been a Look at Me baby planner and I’ve enjoyed every session with her!  I can’t believe her one year birthday has come and gone!  Where does the time go?!  Remember how precious she was as a newborn?!

She’s growing into a beautiful little princess.  And did I mention a very independent princess at that?!  She doesn’t want to be wrangled or contained for very long at all.  We’re all looking forward to going outside for her next session and just letting Ava be herself.  :)

Ava’s birthday session was her first taste of chocolate!  Yes, you read that right.  Ava had never tried chocolate until she tasted her birthday cake I provided for her session.  One taste…..

And she was hooked!  I think we all enjoyed licking frosting off our fingers by the time we were done.  Ava had a bath in the studio after we were finished she was so chocolatey!  :)  Thanks for the laughs and sharing Ava with me again Amy.  See you soon!

Madison Paige

Posted on March 10, 2010

Straussy and Logan brought Madison to the studio for her first professional portraits yesterday.  She joined the Baby Club and will receive sessions at 3 mos (what we did today), 6, 9 and 12 months milestones.

What a hoot she is!  She had us laughing hysterically!  We were almost in tears.  This girl has charisma baby!  Everytime mom would try to get her attention she swayed her head away and was looking for daddy!  When daddy had her, she was all smiles and cooing!  And even we did their pictures together as a family, all I had to do was mention daddy and talk to her about her DADDY (are you seeing a pattern here?) and she would grin from ear to ear!

I’m looking forward to her future sessions.  Mom told her she loved her unconditionally even if she wasn’t her favorite yesterday.  And I think dad secretly confessed (after he got home) that he’d never seen her act that way before either!  I’m sure he was lovin’ it though!  This girl has mom and dad wrapped around all ten fingers AND toes!  Thanks Straussy!  Enjoy your previews!
